Targeted giving to small groups for great impact
Boost Giving is a privately funded family project providing grants to small U.S. non-profits who are serving the basic needs of their local communities.
Our Focus
We are engaged in ongoing research to identify and learn about these organizations and their clients, with the goal of thoughtful, impactful giving.
We strive to minimize burden on recipients and so don’t require formal grant writing or much in the way of reporting because we understand those requirements make it even more difficult for small, community-based organizations that are doing on-the-ground work to procure funding.
Our Process
We believe the people working within our recipient organizations know better than anyone the most effective ways to use our gifts, so we typically offer general fund donations with no restrictions. We consider multi-year grants and most grants are for general operating support.
At this time, we are unable to accept funding requests; our team identifies potential grantees through research and referrals and organizations are considered by invitation only.

We were offered a donation of 500,000 diapers from another organization--enough to meet our needs for five months--if we could pay for freight. The cost was much less per diaper than we normally pay, but we needed to act quickly, and this unexpected expense was beyond our means at the time. Boost was able to cover it for us."
